Although mosquitoes can be annoying in the summer, they are proven to spread disease. Are you concerned that they might pose any danger to your patio flock?

Does one bite ruin a chicken dinner? A fact is that chickens eat mosquitoes. A lot of insects, bugs, and similar animals are eaten. Although interesting, it’s worth noting that chickens repel mosquitoes.

Are mosquitoes known to bother chickens?

No question: Mosquitoes can bite chickens. They have a lengthy mouthpart that’s shaped like a spear and is used to penetrate the surface and suck blood from the body.

Females are the only ones who bite. To supply the nutrients required for egg-laying, they must drink blood.
